Spring soccer registration opens January 10.
New this year! You can register and pay online with a Visa or MasterCard. You will need your family’s health insurance card to complete your registration. To pay with cash or check, print the paper registration form and waivers and submit them along with your payment to the Children’s Ministries office. Registration closes on February 17, at 5 pm. No refunds after this date.
The registration fee is $150 for St. Luke’s members or $175 for non-members.
Each player must complete a registration form, player waiver and medical release form, each season. Turn in completed form along with payment (cash or check payable to St. Luke’s) on or before 2/17.
Included in each player’s registration fee: Team jersey, one individual and one team photo per player, and an end of the season award.
Players will be placed on teams on a first-come first served basis in the order that their registration is received. The number of teams will be determined based on the number of players and the number of coaches. Refunds will only be given if there are not enough players to make a team.
Practice begins on March 1. Games begin the week of March 20.

St. Luke’s teams practice once a week on Wednesday nights beginning as early as 5:30. Depending on the number of teams, times of practices will be determined. If needed, we might add Sunday afternoons as an optional practice day. For older age levels, if there are 2 games in the same week, then practice is cancelled, as each team is limited to two contacts per week. Per U.C.A.L: Players may not compete in any other soccer league team and U.C.A.L. soccer team at the same time.
Parents are asked to provide the following, by the first practice: Cleats, shin guards, shorts, and a practice ball (see size on the chart above. Please write the player’s name on the ball).
Parents, the success of our soccer season relies on your involvement! Please consider volunteering to help your child’s team, so they have a fun and healthy experience playing team sports. If you are interested in coaching or being a team parent, please indicate that on your child’s registration form and we will contact you with more details.
Coach – This parent will help lead drills and teach basic skills at practice. They will also coach the team from the sideline during games to ensure that each child is involved in the game, and playing safely. You do not need to have prior coaching experience to be a U.C.A.L. soccer coach! You just need to love seeing kids participating in a team activity and having fun! Coaches attend a coaches meeting (date and time TBD) held at River Oaks Baptist School, prior to the start of the season. This is where you’ll learn about the game rules and be able to ask any questions you may have. We also ask that the coaches share any information such as rainout info, team pictures dates/times and any other pertinent information from U.C.A.L. and St. Luke’s staff, via email.
Assistant Coach – This parent will help the Head Coach with the duties listed above, as well as a willingness to coach a game in the absence of the Head Coach. They will help set-up and collect practice/game equipment, and help players with drills and skills.
Team Parent – The Team Parent will help the Head Coach communicate with families, mostly via email. They are also encouraged (but not required) to arrange snack and drink sign-ups for practices and/or games, as well as an end of the season party. The end of the season party does not need to be elaborate, it can happen at the team’s last practice or following the last game. St. Luke’s will provide the end of the season awards to be handed out to each player at your last gathering.
