Angel Tree
Share your Christmas this year with underserved families
St. Luke’s members and others provide toys, food, books and clothing for those living in poverty.
We’ve updated the program to connect with families in the Gulfton/Sharpstown area and will partner with Baker Ripley Neighbor Centers Inc. We’re privileged to honor 70 families in need who regularly volunteer to serve others.
The Angel Tree event is on Sunday, December 4 from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. at our Gethsemane Campus. So that all families are appreciated equally, we’ll provide the same age and gender appropriate gifts for each family member and a gift basket for each family. Some of the gifts we purchase will be made at Baker Ripley jewelry and cooking classes.
This year each and every St. Luke’s family can participate. Instead of buying for individual families as we’ve done in the past, we’ll collect funds, combine them and purchase all of the gifts. We’re currently recruiting volunteers to shop with donated money, to volunteer at sign-up tables on Sundays mornings November 6, 13 and 20 and to help with event day.
A fun, new addition this year is the Gift Wrapping party on Wednesday, November 30. Thanks again for sharing your Christmas and brightening the lives of others.
