Volunteers are needed to greet visitors and assist with children's activities at Discovery Green for our Easter at the Park service. If you or your family can help, please email Louise McEvoy at loulee888@gmail.com.
The 2012 Easter Offering will support the following programs:
The WorkFaith Connection helps persons begin productive lives through the gift of work. Their 8 day job readiness workshops equip graduates with the ability to achieve economic self-sufficiency through job retention and career advancement. This program empowers people with the ability to provide for themselves and their families while living a life of integrity-emotionally, spiritually, and financially.
Gethsemane Area Children’s Summer Program
Summer is the most precarious time of year for children in poverty. With school out, hunger often increases as does lack of appropriate supervision due to working parents. This program will offer Gethsemane area children the opportunity for healthy food and safe, enriching age-appropriate educational and recreational activities on our Gethsemane campus.
Seasonal decorations are a wonderful way to remember or honor your loved ones. Contributions can be made to the Lenten Flower Fund. Contact Gayle Eury at 713-402-5027 or geury@stlukesmethodist.org.
Our weekly Lenten Concert Series affords yet another opportunity to enjoy the music of the season; join us every Thursday at noon at the Westheimer Campus (in the Chapel unless otherwise noted), beginning February 23 through April 5. There is no admission charge, however a free will offering will be received.
