Pure Sound
Youth Choir
The Pure Sound youth choir is an exciting, dynamic, involved group of young people who love and support each other, serve God and the church, travel together and, at the heart of what they do, sing together every Sunday morning at the 8:30 service.
Rehearsals are Sunday afternoons from 4-5:30 in the choir room.
Founded in 1996, Pure Sound has traveled to New York and Washington, D.C., Alaska and the United Kingdom, singing in places such as the United Nations, St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, BB4 Radio in the UK, and St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral in Edinburgh.
This group performs a musical each year and that list has included, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “Godspell,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers,” and “Children of Eden.” On alternate years Pure Sound, joined by numerous alumni has sung Vivaldi “Gloria” on Christmas Eve with an orchestra.
This dedicated, caring group of young people is at the heart of St. Luke’s and loves to serve while living for one another.
