Women’s Ministries

At St. Luke's there are several opportunities for women to embrace in community - whether that means a Bible study, women's circle, or a service group. To learn more about how you can get involved, please contact , Director of Adult Ministries at 713-402-5084.

ONGOING ACTIVITIES AND SPECIAL EVENTS

Women’s Bible Studies or Small Groups

 Go With Grace is a Bible study for women looking for a place to grow in their faith through study, prayer and the faith journeys of other women. Each lesson is prepared to stand alone—so whether you can attend each week or attend just a few meetings, you’re welcome. The group meets at on Thursdays at 7:15 a.m. in the Hines Baker Room and is led by Dr. Linda Christians. To learn more contact , 713-402-5086.

Mom’s Bible Study is a weekly Bible study for mothers of young children, led by Julie Ellerbrock, Director of Children’s Ministries. No advance preparation is needed. Join the group at any time! Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m. in the Parlor.

Women’s Afternoon Study Group is studying I Corinthians this fall. Join this group of ladies for an afternoon of fellowship and learning. The fall session begins on September 22 and new members are always welcome. The group meets weekly on Mondays at 1:30 p.m. in Room R23.

United Methodist Women

The UMW is a community of women whose purpose is to know God, develop supportive relationships, and promote the global ministries of the United Methodist church.There are many opportunities to become a part of this active group. Membership is intergenerational and open to women of all ages and stages of life. For more information about any of these groups, please visit the UMW webpage or contact .

Women’s Retreat

St. Luke’s Women’s Ministries hosts an annual women’s retreat in late winter or early spring. It is a wonderful weekend of renewing and reconnecting. Worship, prayer, shared meals, and music serve as cornerstones for the retreat. If you have never been to one of the St. Luke’s Women’s Retreats and are afraid you won’t know anyone, worry no more!
