Activities

Proverbs 15:30 A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.

St. Luke’s is home to a large number of activities for children. Many of these activities build self esteem, provide education and support the development of new friendships. All of these activities are open to members and nonmembers of the church. Below are the Enrichment classes that are offered during the School year. Sports and Scouting have their own section.

Tae Kwon Do
Tae Kwon Do aids parents in building their children’s confidence and character with a strong Christian Philosophy. Children learn to respect themselves and others. We have classes designed for children 3 1/2 yrs – Kindergarten and for Elementary age.

Ballet
Pre-school Ballet is a great class to introduce your child to the world of dance. Movements are designed for children 3 through 5 years of age. Classes are held Wednesdays 2:30 & 3:30 and Thursdays at 2:30.

Spanish

Pre-school Spanish is a great way to introduce your child to Spanish. Classes are taught using games, songs and play.

Sign Language-New for the Fall '08

Sign Language will be offered for 12 month - 36 month olds. They must have a parent or caregiver join them for the class.
This class will help the parents as well as the children who are either not speaking yet or just beginning to. Studies have also shown that children who learn sign language tend to become better readers. These classes will be offered on Wednesdays from 2:40-3:15.
