Safe Sanctuary Certification

Welcome to our Safe Sanctuary Certification page. If you are visiting this page, you are most likely one of our beloved volunteers, or about to be!

While we love to employ people in various roles in our ministry, we have to put safety first! That is why we want to ensure that all of our volunteers understand our Safe Sanctuary policy in addition to being background checked, before volunteering around children and youth.

In order to become Safe Sanctuary certified at St. Luke’s you must:

  • Read and complete our Safe Sanctuary policy and application
  • Grant permission to contact 2-3 references and conduct a background check
  • Complete the training presentation, including the quiz at the end

You need to complete the training presentation and pass the quiz (with a passing score of 80% or better) once, every year. You will also be asked to complete the Annual Renewal Form (short form) once per year, as well.
