Think of podcasting like a subscription to a newspaper. Once you subscribe to the podcast, it will automatically update new content (in this case, an audio or video copy of a sermon) to your reader as it becomes available. The content is downloaded to your PC, Mac or mobile device so you can access it whenever you want.

 

Even though the name implies the requirement of an iPod, you actually don't need an iPod to subscribe to podcasts. All you need is a computer, some software, and an internet connection.
