Refer to the child as handicapped and not disabled
Follow the parents’ lead on how they refer to their child’s diagnosis/special need

Outside contact with PM Pals’ families (ex: babysitting) is allowed and encouraged.*

Volunteers may administer medications to children as long as they are checked in at the front desk first.*

If a volunteer wants to bring a friend/guest to PM Pals, they do not need a background check if they are only visiting once.*

Junior volunteers need to be at least age 12 and older.*
