We pray. We study the Bible. We make friends. We tell our stories. We give ourselves away in generosity and service. A PERSONAL PRAYER O God, I pray for humility today. I am sad when I have friendships strained by our differing viewpoints—political, or religious, or cultural, or otherwise. My convictions matter deeply to me. I will stand by them. Of Alabaster Cities

I voted early this year. It was an interesting experience, knowing that many of those in line with me were voting differently than I was. In contrast to what we see on the news, it was a very civil and friendly experience. There was nice conversation in the line about the Texans and the weather and the upcoming weekend.
