Welcome to St. Luke’s Student Ministry

For students in 6th-12th grade, our middle and high school ministries offer strategically focused Bible studies and events to meet students where they are and spur them on to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ. We are committed to loving and serving youth and their families as they navigate the teen years and explore their faith in Christ.

Middle School

Welcome 6th-8th grade students! We know middle school is viewed by many as the awkward years, but God has more planned for you than a few years of awkwardness. Your openness for life and enthusiasm for learning are two of the things we appreciate most about this age group. Each week at St. Luke’s, you will have the opportunity to connect with your peers and learn more about a life changing relationship with Jesus.

6th-12th grade students meet in the Student Ministry Building from 9:45-10:45 for an hour of worship and a lesson. Staff and volunteers are there early to welcome students, so come grab a donut and say hi!

On Wednesday nights, students meet in homes all over Houston for dinner and a Bible study discussion facilitated by adult leaders. Register online.

Your Confirmation journey begins in 6th grade with special lessons Sunday mornings in the fall, a retreat in September, and Cross Dedication Service in December. Register online.

Your second year of Confirmation is highlighted with planned visits to six different faith traditions.

Your final year of Confirmation wraps up with special lessons Sunday mornings in the spring and a retreat in April, and the Confirmation Service in May.

Welcome 9th-12th grade students! We are thrilled for the way God is working in the lives of high school students all over the Houston area. It is our great desire and privilege to get to know each and every one of you and offer the support and encouragement you need to be a part of this work. Wherever you are in your faith, we know you will find a place at St. Luke’s.

College

You’ve made it to college! We believe God desires to use these years to shape you, use you, and prepare you for His purpose the rest of your lives. Wherever these next four years take you- throughout the state, across the country, or even abroad- we want to continue to offer our prayers and support in your faith journey. St. Luke’s has many different scholarships to offer. Click here to view available scholarships. Click here to view college events.

Parents & Volunteers

It is clear in scripture that the primary source of discipleship in a student’s life is the home. Our hope is to effectively partner with you and encourage you to be the parents God has called you to be. We have countless opportunities for people wanting to partner with Student Ministry at St. Luke’s As a volunteer, you could lead a weekly small group, travel with us to retreats and mission trips, share your gift of photography or anything in between. If you feel a calling to walk alongside our 6th-12th grade students in their journeys of faith, we invite you to sit down with one of our staff members to learn more about all the ways to get involved.
