We’re Glad You’re Here
Let’s make your first visit a great experience!

Whether you are new to Houston, new to church or looking for a new church home, we’re glad you are considering St. Luke’s. Here’s some helpful information to guide you on your first visit. If you have any questions or would like to talk to someone before you come, Rebecca Alsup (713-402-5032) would love to visit with you.

Sunday Mornings

Welcome to St. Luke’s traditional and contemporary worship services. You’ll find children’s areas with secure check-in and a special worship space for students. Sunday School is available for all ages at 9:45 a.m. and nursery care is available all morning.

Traditional Worship services follow familiar liturgy with a dynamic, scripture-inspired message and is accompanied by exquisite choirs and congregational hymns. Senior Pastor, Dr. Tom Pace preaches at all services.

Holy Communion 8:30 a.m.
Sign interpreter 9:45 a.m.
Family Room with TV LiveStream in adjacent Chapel Parlor
Assisted hearing devices and Induction Loop system
Large print hymnals available from the ushers

Led by Rev. Katie Montgomery Mears, contemporary worship has a relaxed atmosphere, with a praise band, coffee and donuts, bubbly children being children, participatory prayer elements and a challenging and encouraging message by Senior Pastor Dr. Tom Pace.

Each Sunday at 12:05 p.m. Holy Communion is offered in the Chapel. St. Luke’s observes an open table and “all who love Jesus, who earnestly repent of their sin, and seek to live in peace with one another.” are welcome. Communion is served by intinction (bread is dipped in the juice).

Children’s welcome staff and check-in kiosks are located right inside the Activity Center entrance.

Nursery Care
2-24 months | Our Sunday Nursery offers welcoming, loving and safe childcare for members and visitors while they worship with us on Sunday by responsible and well-trained childcare staff, who are annually certified by the American Heart Association in CPR and First Aid. Our staff also participate in continuing education classes in child development, safety, and sanitation, among others. For more information on check-in, what to bring, and more, see our nursery brochure.

Ages 2-Grade 5
The Children’s Sunday School hour is between 9:45 and 10:45 a.m. Enter via the Activity Center entrance. If this is your first time checking your children into Sunday School, we suggest arriving at least 15 minutes before the service starts. Just as Jesus said,Let the little children come to me,” we await with open arms the precious, smiling faces of your children. Let us help your family grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ, and with each other.

Kids Pals: Special Needs
On Sunday mornings, we serve our families with children with special needs by giving them a care team. Each Sunday, one of our Kids Pals attends Sunday School with the child while the parents attend worship or Sunday School.

Student Worship
For students in 6th-12th grade, Student Ministries offers a unique worship experience in their own building beginning at 9:45 a.m. We are committed to loving and serving youth and their families as they navigate the teen years and explore their faith in Christ. Learn more.
