We pray. We study the Bible. We make friends. We tell our stories. We give ourselves away in generosity and service.A PERSONAL PRAYERO God, Thank you. Today is one of those days when my gratitude overflows. I am so grateful for family and friends, for work and play, for laughter and tears, for big overwhelming joys and small moments of joy. Funny, those things were around on other days when I wasn’t so thankful. What changed, God?I was reading the Bible this week and came across the story of the feeding of the 5,000, how you had two fish and five loaves. You [...]

The Harvest is Coming: Inside-Out Habits with Dr. Tom Pace for October 2, 2016

We pray. We study the Bible. We make friends. We tell our stories. We give ourselves away in generosity and service. A PERSONAL PRAYER Dear God, Give me patience, and I want it right now! I confess that sometimes; I am arrogant enough to [...]

While in Baton Rouge, the team had the opportunity to serve a gentleman whose house took on more than four feet of water that didn’t recede for three days. He was disabled and unable to physically take on the task of pulling out carpet and sheetrock, but he was a blessing to the team as he continually offered encouragement, warm smiles, and [...]

Always Give Thanks – Inside Out Habits with Dr. Pace June 17

By | June 17th, 2016|All blogs, Inside-Out with Dr. Tom Pace|0 Comments

We pray. We study the Bible. We make friends. We tell our stories. We give ourselves away in generosity and service. A PERSONAL PRAYER Gracious God, Some weeks are harder than others. We had five funerals for lovely people at St. Luke’s over the last week, all members of our congregation. And there is the Orlando tragedy. And a baby is killed by an alligator. And it is really hot and miserable outside. And the parking lot is a long way off to walk in the heat. You know, all that sadness and annoyance kind of piles up [...]
